What is the difference between powder and Diaper Rash ointment?
My baby has a diaper rash that is wet, and custom stick ointment to heal better if I put baby powder to dry up?
Most pediatricians disapprove of the use of baby powder. May be irritating to the airways of a baby. I used a powder before but for the same reasons you describe. The key is to make sure you try not to use too much dust and do everything possible to maintain any kind of "cloud" often produced from the container when dispensing powder away from baby. Put a small amount in the hand or in a handkerchief and apply it that way rather than run directly into the area. This reduces the cloud of white … As stated make sure the area is irritated clean and try to dry if possible. The powder will help dry the area, however, zinc oxide diaper rash creams will help the area heal. Note care, zinc oxide may also itch.
