How to prepare our dog for a newborn baby?
I will be delivering our new baby in May next year and we ask views and suggestions on how to prepare our Toy Poodle to the new member. Our dog would bark every time she hears the doorbell or if we are out of sight. also sleeps with us every night and how we can bring him back to sleep at home? We live in a small apt. and only a small noise can be heard from the bedroom of our baby. Pls. help us with your comments. Thank you.
We bought the CD of "Preparing Fido," which has the sounds of the baby, take the dog in the nursery when we were preparing (for she knew what was happening) and get home before my husband took a blanket that our daughter had been involved for the dog to get used to his envoy. He was very curious when we got home and had to smell the baby and kissing his hand. He does really well and is very protective.
